Extended Protection

Living under a mosquito net 24 hours a day is impractical, so LGS, in
collaboration with ProActiv Textiles are offering a new product with multiple
use/applications such as clothing, bed linen, table clothes.The textile product
is made using a unique textile called iFabric and with the introduction of this
product it is possible to obtain extended protection.

iFabric has a unique re-engineered fibre called ‘Vapour Release System’ (VRS)
in its composition, which provides continuous protection against mosquitoes
(and several other insect types).

The VRS works either by rubbing the iFabric product you are wearing/using
or by body movement, so it is easy to activate. Each activation last for up to
3 hours and keeps mosquitoes approximately 50 cm away from the textile.



iFabric’s active agent engineered into yarn is eucalyptus maculata citriodora. In
its vapour form, the active agent is in the most effective insect repelling state.
This is confirmed by The London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine
during efficacy testing of the product.
